Winter Season 2024 Teams (Under 8’s-16’s)

As with past team releases, we hope that our Falcons families can appreciate the thought, time and effort that goes into team selections.

There are a number of factors that are taken into account relating to team selection. These include, but are not limited to:
coach feedback
skills sessions / tryouts
coordinator evaluations throughout the season
friendship requests
coaching appointments
team/coach/player dynamics
season allocation (age within each age group)
opportunities for individual player development and growth and placement to succeed
Following many robust discussions, final team sign off is completed by a Team Selection Committee, made up of Age Group Coordinators and the Executive Committee.

Ultimately, we as a Club want the best for all our players and families and have a desire to see each player thrive, enjoy and develop in their basketball journeys.

If you have any questions, concerns, comments or thoughts relating to where you child has been placed, we request that you put this in writing to team.selection.committee@ftgfalcons.com.au and our Executive Committee will respond in due course. We will not comment on the placement of children other than your own. Committee members will not accept phone calls or face to face discussion relating to team placement.
